What do I actually pay?

You pay one all-in price shown on each quote. It includes the pro's price plus QOTA's flat 5% convenience fee. There are no hidden charges — the price you see is the price you pay.

Is my address private?

Yes. Pros only see your zip code and approximate distance while quoting. Your full address is shared only with the pro you choose to hire, after you accept their quote.

Yes. Your payment is held safely by QOTA until the job is complete. Your pro marks the job complete, and then you review and confirm — that releases payment to them right away. What are the trust tiers?

QOTA Verified Licensed Pro means we've verified the pro's identity, trade license, and insurance. QOTA Community Pro means we've verified the pro's identity. Both appear as a badge on the pro's profile so you can see at a glance how a pro was vetted.

How do reviews work?

After a job is completed and paid, you can leave a star rating and review for your pro. Reviews come only from real, completed jobs.

How much does QOTA cost me?

Nothing is taken from your quote. You keep 100% of what you quote. QOTA's flat 5% convenience fee is added on top and paid by the client. There are no per-lead fees and no commission skimmed from your work.

Yes. You can send a firm quote, or an estimate you confirm remotely (by requesting more photos or a quick video walkthrough) or in person. You can also offer a paid diagnostic visit and give a firm price afterward.

How do I get verified?

Complete your profile and submit your information. Pros with a trade license can verify their identity, license, and insurance to earn QOTA Verified Licensed Pro. Pros without a license can verify their identity to earn QOTA Community Pro. We review your submission and apply your badge.

What is a QOTA Community Pro?

A QOTA Community Pro has completed QOTA's required identity verification process and has been approved by our team to submit quotes on the platform. Community Pros have government-issued ID verified, QOTA account approval, and the ability to submit quotes to homeowners.

A QOTA Verified Licensed Pro has completed everything required for Community Pro and has also submitted documentation verifying their professional license and insurance. Verified Licensed Pros have government-issued ID verified, professional license verified, and insurance verified. This is QOTA's highest contractor verification level.

Featured Pros pay for premium visibility within QOTA and may appear higher in search results or quote lists. Featured placement does not affect a contractor's verification status, licensing, insurance, ratings, or reviews.

QOTA helps match homeowners with contractors based on your project, location, contractor qualifications, and availability. Homeowners are always free to compare quotes, review profiles, ask questions, and choose the contractor they believe is the best fit.

Depending on the contractor's verification level, QOTA may verify government-issued identification, professional licenses, and insurance documentation. Verification helps homeowners make informed hiring decisions.
